I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1998 with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Health Science, Pre-Physical Therapy. Over a period of five years, I was fortunate to work in all types
of PT settings from aquatics, elementary schools, hospitals and private practice.
In 2000 I graduated from the Massage Program at the University of Nevada, Reno and became
a Licensed Massage Therapist. At which time I set up my own massage practice and still today continue to learn new and adaptive
techniques and modalities to further benefit my clients. Massage therapy has been a fulfilling career for me. It has allowed
me the freedom to build my own business, plus help a variety of people with varying circumstances.
It wasn't until three years into my massage practice that I knew there was still
something missing. After months of soul searching it came to me, I knew I needed to combine my massage with horses. So
in July of 2004 I became a "Certified Equine Shiatsu Massage Therapist". This has been a wonderful addition
to my growing practice. The horses, owners and my self all love it!
Over the years I studied, took classes and became a Reiki Master Teacher - Practitioner. I use this
technique on both people and animals. Especially when the animals are unsure of massage, Reiki works wonders.
It can be used on any type of animal.
In 2006
I officially added "Dog Massage" to my practice and boy are the tails wagging!
Massage for dogs is wonderful for both the dog and
their owners in so many ways. All along I have been using the equine shiatsu massage method on dogs and receiving great
results. I took this a step further and went back to school specifically for "Dog Massage" and incorporated it with
the equine method and both methods complement each other quite nicely. I've had zero complaints. just yawns, licks and
looks of ... "please don't stop".
